Filmfare
Another review calls it “a missed attempt at both horror and comedy”.

Weaknesses & Shortcomings
Script & tonal confusion: The blending of horror, comedy, romance was seen as inconsistent—neither strong horror scares nor effective comedy.
Execution problems: Visual effects & set-ups reportedly weak; overuse of clichés (ghosts, haunted tree, college jumpscares).
Timing & release issues: Originally slated for 18 April 2025 but postponed to 1 May to accommodate VFX. The delay and crowded release window hurt.
Lack of buzz: Advance bookings minimal, promotional efforts overshadowed by bigger films
