Govardhan (Vijay) is a middle-class man in a joint family, doing his best to keep things afloat. Indu (Mrunal) comes into their house as a tenant (a postgraduate student) and gradually becomes part of the family. Romance blossoms between them. But then a revelation about Indu’s past (or a secret) causes tension. Govardhan feels betrayed, pushes her away. The rest of the film explores how they reconcile and how family conflicts and expectations play out. 

The film mixes family drama + romance + middle-class struggles + some action-oriented sequences (which feel over the top)
